When you take forever to get the phone on VZW you should expect people to take their time switching.
First, you've let Android have all that time to get a following because it's the only alternative for the lack of an iPhone. Those people have also bought apps that they now enjoy and would have to re-purchase on the iPhone. This happens with video game systems as well.
Second, people are in 2yr contracts. There are very few people who are willing to pay more for a phone they can buy 4 months later at half price on top of the termination fee.
Third, not that many people hate AT&T it's just the handful of VZW fans that make it look that way.
And finally you have the reporting and reviews. All the reports I saw were telling VZW people and potential switchers to hold off on getting the iPhone 4. No 4G, no white and still had the questionable signal issues. The "iPhone 5" was supposed to come out mid to late summer so people were concerned Apple would sell them a phone and then jump up 6 months later with the newer, thiner, better version and leave folks hanging.
People are paying attention to these reports and that's why I feel the numbers were low.

Great news for Apple as far as iOS implementation but comparing including iPod touch doesn't really seem like a fair comparison since Android isn't on any PMP devices.
So as it stands, correct me if I'm wrong, but:
1. Mobile PHONES, Android > iOS
2. Include tablets and PMP iOS > Android by a good margin

I have a black iPhone 4 but I am gonna list it on ebay and get the white one.
I'm gonna do this partly because I have wanted the white since day 1 and I want a change having had the black since launch... Doesn't sound logical to most I know but hey I don't care!
Secondly, having sold many iPhones on ebay, I know that the white versions sell well and when it comes to the time to sell again shortly before the iPhone 5 comes out (in say September) - the white will do better than the black would.
All in all I expect to pay around �80 for the switch from black to white and, as I say, I expect to get a better price for the white when it comes to sell in the future.
Still, a completely well thought out, illogical decision to most I know I know lol!

I have a Mac Mini from late 2006 with an intel Core duo cpu (Model#: MA608LL/A). The problem I'm having is that i have it set to turn the display off after idling 5min and go to sleep after idling for 10min. It turns the display off but the mac never goes to sleep. I can use the apple remote or the menu option to put it to sleep. It just never goes to sleep due to idling. Any possible solutions would be great.

Maybe the reason they didn't bring it up was because they are working on a new feature (ie new maps or turn by turn gps built into the next iOS; they did mention it was to collect data for something like that), but now that the media has blown it out of proportion, they had to come out and address it. At least, that's what I'm assuming Apple's point of view was.

Sounds awesome, but I'll still stick with Camino until Safari speeds up a bit and is more stable. Those were my only two issues.

Konfabulator: The closest thing to Tiger's Dashboard feature. This widget launcher is free, cool and very well done. Great for webcams, weather alerts, stock quotes etc.

As for me:
Quicksilver -- practically replaces the Dock and Finder...also, triggers are quite useful
mp3 Sushi -- creates a little radio station on my network...tune into the stream from 2 users on the same computer and send one of the itunes over to AX...now you've got your library playing on your computer's speakers and on AX...a little bit of lag, but useful if you're speakers are in separate rooms.
Genius -- for language study.
MacJanitor -- housekeeping
MacStumbler -- see what's going on in the wireless realm
MacTracker -- info on all macs
Meteorologist -- menubar weather....I have it set to give me weather for multiple zip codes (always intersted in what's going on back in my home state of Texas!)
TransparentDock -- puts the Dock where you want it and allows you to match it with your for ultimate aesthetic yumminess
VLC -- for those stubborn multimedia files
GeekTool -- currently I'm only using it to create an updating screensaver of radar images from weather.com -- I really like to know the weather!

HELP !
i had jailbreak on my 4.3.1 ios, but needed to remove it before going into apple to see the genius bar..
but i updated and restores on itunes and now i cant kick of recovery, i have gone to tiny umbrella and tried kick out and also unchecked the box saying set hosts to cydia on exit?
please help quickly my appointment is soon :(
